The Escapists 2

Sequel to the highly successful original, Escapist 2 builds upon the first game in every respect. Expanding the games content adding more varied prisons, new prison types called transport prisons. Not only that but the game added fully integrated multiplayer, with offline split screen and online 4 player drop in drop out sessions as well as any combination of local and online players in the same session. More in depth crafting, combat, and quest-like escapes.

 

Responsibilites

Senior designer on the project, given and taking full ownership of all the multiplayer systems and designs as well as creating and driving the updated combat system for the game. Also responsible for level design creation and level design rulesets.

  • Game systems and core gameplay mechanic design

  • Design of multiplayer systems and rules for a fully integrated drop in/out multiplayer experience

  • Design ownership of combat experience within the game

  • Design, whitebox and creation of 6 levels, including dressing, gameplay and AI patrols within those levels

  • General game balancing and quest creation for several levels
